About The Community Shop
Since opening in 2023, we now work in partnership with Argyll & Bute Council, ACHA, Fyne Homes, Argyll & Bute Citizens Advice Bureau and Renewi. Our commitment to directly helping the community is strengthened through these partnerships. Donated goods are recycled back into the community enabling many to benefit. Our team of volunteers clean and repair your donations ensuring a constant turnover of quality items. Our volunteer electricians pat test all electrical goods. We never stop improving, and are continuing to expand our stock based on how we can best serve the local area.

Our stock is extensive. From gold jewellery to Doctor Who DVDs, fridges to wooden bangles, Nike Air trainers to Harley Davidson collectors badges.
The support and generosity of our donors is at times overwhelming and always amazing.
Most of the goods donated are sold through the shop but when our partners identify individuals or organisations who can benefit directly from us we can also pass goods on at no cost.
Our shop has lots of information about what's happening locally which includes a "For Sale" board where you can advertise unwanted items. All we ask is a donation if the item sells.
Local Companies & trades can also advertise their businesses for free, again a donation would be appreciated.

We have a sitting area where you can meet friends, make yourself a tea or coffee, have a chat or just read a book and chill.
The area can also be used for craft classes, demonstrations, and informal discussions.
On set days the area will be used solely as a Camerados Public Living Room. You can get more information about Camerados at https://camerados.org
